 Copy of Dr. Satowski (2)_1.jpgDr. Michalena Satowski-Veterinarian: Dr. Satowski has over twenty years of veterinary experience. She graduated with honors from the University of California, Davis, where she worked in the Nuclear Medicine Department on their Oncology Registry. She also worked with CT Scans and on the I131 project.  Prior to opening up her own practice, she did veterinary work for animal rescue stations in Fresno county, as well as the Chaffee Zoo in Fresno, CA. 

Copy_of_Karin__3_.jpgKarin-Registered Vet Tech: Karin recently moved back to California from Colorado and joined our CCVH team in November 2010 as an RVT. While in Colorado, she completed the Veterinary Technology program at Colorado Mountain College. She has worked with a wide range of animals including dogs, cats, cattle, horses and wildlife such as bears, mountain lions and eagles. Karin also volunteers with World Vets and has traveled with them to Nicaragua for a spay/neuter clinic in San Juan del Sur. While Karin enjoys the San Diego beaches, she also loves taking her Husky, Kane up to the mountains.

Copy_of_Victoria__1_.jpgVictoria-Registered Vet Tech: Victoria has been at Companion Care since June 2007, but has been in the Veterinary field for 7 years, two of them as an RVT. Currently, she is pursuing her Masters Degree in History at the University of San Diego. While Victoria has multiple interests, her dedicated love and passion for all animals will continually follow her throughout her life's journey. Currently her two cats, Noel, and her Siamese Yual, along with her Italian Greyhound Isabella, are her constant reminder of why she loves being an RVT. 

Copy_of_Cynthia.JPGCynthia-Senior Assistant: Cynthia started working at Companion Care as a Kennel Assistant at the age of 18. She has worked her way up through the years and is now one of Companion Care's Lead Assistants. In addition, she is currently preparing to apply for the RVT program at Mesa College. Cynthia grew up with animals which has contributed to her love and passion for them. She currently has two Pit Bulls, Bella and Lilly; and because of her love for this breed she is an active supporter of Pit Bull rescues throughout southern California.

Copy_of_Ashley.jpgAshley-Senior Assistant: Ashley has been with Companion Care since October 2009. She has always had a deep love and respect for animals and has thus made it her life's goal to work with them. She has a B.A. in History and English from UC Santa Barbara and is currently completing Pre-Vet course work within the San Diego Community College District. Her ultimate goal is to become a DVM in a small animal hospital much like Companion Care.

Copy_of_Brittany__1_.jpgBrittany-Vet Assistant: Brittany joined the CCVH team in  October 2009 as a Veterinary Assistant. She loves working with animals and feels it is a very rewarding job. She has five pets of her own: two dogs, a cat, a rabbit and a bearded dragon. She recently applied to the RVT program at Mesa College. She looks forward to pursuing a career in Veterinary Medicine.

Copy_of_Lacey__2_.jpgLacey-Senior Receptionist: Lacey has been employed with us since 2007. She began as a kennel assistant, eventually moving up to reception. She is currently a student at Iowa State University majoring in Animal Science. In the future, Lacey hopes to have a career in veterinary medicine or research. When she has free time, she enjoys spending time with her dog and two cats.

Copy_of_Jamy__2_.jpgJamy-Receptionist: Jamy started at Companion Care in September 2010. She has had animals her whole life and currently has two cats and two dogs. Jamy has an AA in Psychology and is currently pursuing her BA in Political Science at San Diego State University. Her plan is to attend law school upon graduation, but for now she is ecstatic to work in Veterinary Medicine 

Copy_of_Tamera__2_.jpgTamera-Kennel Assistant: Tamera has been with us since October 2009. She has worked in the pet care field however, for over four years. She has a deep love for animals including her own Jack Russel, Macy. Tamera plans to enroll in the RVT program at Mesa College to pursue her educational and career goals. In her spare time, she loves to hang out with family or play bass with her band.

Copy_of_Ariel__3_.jpgAriel-Kennel Assistant: Ariel has recently joined the CCVH family. She currently works as a Kennel Assistant, but has been caring for animals her entire life. Currently, Ariel owns one cat, and two dogs, whom she loves taking to the dog park and dog beach. She looks forward to a long career in the veterinary field.

Copy_of_Alisa__2_.jpgAlisa-Kennel Assistant: Alisa has worked with our CCVH team since 2008. In addition to being part of our weekend team, Alisa is a full-time pre-school teacher in Rancho Bernardo. When she can find some down time, Alisa like to hang out with her two dogs, Misty and Domino.

Copy_of_Nergis__2_.jpgNergis-Kennel Assitant: Nergis helps out our team part-time on Saturdays. She is currently enrolled at the University of San Diego and plans to go on to vet school. In her spare time Nergis participates in equestrian competitions and spends time with her boxer Rex.

Copy_of_Sage.JPGSage-Hospital Dog: Sage, dubbed our "Wal-Mart Greeter", enjoys being the center of affection. In continual pursuit to have her golden locks of fur petted, Sage never hesitates to entertain and comfort our clients with a leaning hug and a happy tail wag.

Copy_of_Emma_1.jpgCopy_of_Maylay_2.jpgCopy_of_Website_Roux.jpgEmma/Maylay/Roux-Our in-house cats: Emma has been with CCVH since 2006 and loves spending her days sleeping and seeking out food. Maylay has been with us since 2009 and is our jungle cat. She enjoys quietly lurking in the corners and if you look closely you might get a glimpse of her. Roux is our newest addition and joined us in late 2010. Roux's hobbies include never ending exploring and "helping" whenever and wherever he can.

Copy_of_Website_Tort.jpgTort-Hospital Tort: Tort has been with us since 2002 and spends most of his days basking under his heat lamp, nibbling at his veggies and sleeping. However, he doesn't start his busy day until after he's had a nice long soak.
