Dr. Michalena Satowski - Veterinarian: Dr. Satowski has almost thirty of veterinary experience. She graduated with honors from the University of California, Davis for her Doctor's degree. Prior to receiving her veterinary degree she graduated with honors from California State University, Fresno with her Bachelor's in biology. She also completed course work for her master's in Zoology and was accepted to the University of Hawaii for a combined masters/ doctoral degree. She was her High School valedictorian. At Davis she worked in the Nuclear Medicine Department on their Oncology Registry. She also worked with CT Scans and on the feline iodine 131 project. Prior to opening up her own practice, she did veterinary work for animal rescue stations in Fresno county, as well as the Chaffee Zoo in Fresno, CA. Dr. Satowski is licensed to practice medicine in both California and South Carolina and carry's a Federal class 2 veterinary classification (allowing to provide international transport certificates to exotics in addition to dogs and cats).

Karin- Manager- Registered Veterinary Technician/ Manager: Karin joined our team in November 2010 as a RVT. Karin completed the Veterinary Technology program at Colorado Mountain College. She has worked with a wide variety of animals including: dogs, cats, cattle, horses and wildlife such as bears, mountain lions and eagles. Karin also volunteers with World Vets and has traveled with them to Nicaragua for a spay/neuter clinic. In her free time, Karin enjoys the San Diego mountains and beaches with her husband and her Border Collie Mix, "Sullivan".

Ariel - Supervisor: Ariel has been working with CCVH since 2010. She started as Kennel Attendant, and is now working as veterinary assistant. She is currently attending the Animal Health Program at San Diego Mesa College in order to achieve her license as a Veterinary Technician. She has lived in San Diego her entire life, and has always had a passion for animals. Her house full of pets include her two dogs Qtip and Chica, her two cats Goku and Pico, her Betta named Sushi, and her scorpion General Paco. When not working or doing homework Ariel loves hiking, snorkeling at La Jolla, yoga, and supporting our San Diego Chargers and Padres. She hopes to have a long carrer in the veterinary field, and finds helping animals to be very rewarding.

Brit - Assistant: Brit has been at CCVH since January of 2013. Her passion is working with animals, and dreams to own an animal rescue one day. She will be pursuing her education to become a Veterinary Technician. Brit's hobbies include: racing sprint cars and spending time with her pets, "Koda" the Lab mix, and "Kyosho" the cat. Both of her animals have been rescued. 


Elizabeth - Assistant:  Liz has been at CCVH since 2013. She is currently working towards her degree in Microbiology to further pursue her career in Veterinary Medicine. She has a Golden Retriever, Dakota, who enjoys tennis just as much as Liz does. She also has three Betta fish; Padawan, Sharkbait, and Pesco.  


Justine - Assistant: Justine has been working at CCVH since January of 2013. She is currently studying Pre-Veterinary Medicine at UCSD and plans to attend veterinary school in the future. She has always been very passionate about animals and couldn't imagine working in any other field.


Julia - Head Reception/Vet Tech: With nearly 20 years experience in the Veterinary field, from O.M to surgical assist for board certified Veterinary Orthopedic surgeons to Head Technician. She is privileged to accept a much deserved, slower pace position running the front here at CCVH. Enrolled to finish her RVT training, hopefully to be licensed next year. She is ecstatic to keep up the face of this well respected, established practice and family. 


Christina - Kennel Assistant/ Receptionist:  Christina volunteered with CCVH for a year and half, before joining our team in 2013.  Christina is currently studying Biology at Cal Poly Pomona. Christina's love for animals drives her to work toward her ultimate goal of becoming a veterinarian.  At home she has 2 sweet cockatiels named " Hernando" and "Jasmine", along with 2 married pugs named "Mortica" and Gomez".  When she isn't working she enjoys exploring her creative side by sewing, singing, and drawing.


Adela - Kennel Assistant: Adela has been at CCVH since October of 2014. She has two dogs; Sharlate and Koda who she loves to cuddle with. On her spare time she likes to play video games, go to Disneyland, Universal Studios, and go on random adventures.  


Elaine - Kennel Assistant: Elaine has been at CCVH since October of 2014.
