Dr. Michalena Satowski
Veterinarian
Dr. Satowski was a high school valedictorian, earned her DVM with honors from the University of California, Davis, and has over 35 years of veterinary experience.
Prior to receiving her doctorate, she graduated with honors from California State University, Fresno with her Bachelor’s in biology. She also completed coursework for her master’s in zoology and was accepted to the University of Hawaii for a combined master’s/doctoral degree.
At UC Davis, she worked in the Nuclear Medicine Department on their oncology registry. She also worked with CT scans and on the Feline Iodine 131 Project.
Prior to opening up her own practice, she did veterinary work for animal rescue stations in Fresno County, as well as the Chaffee Zoo in Fresno, CA.
Dr. Satowski is licensed to practice medicine in California, South Carolina, and Washington, and carries a Federal Class II veterinary permit (allowing her to provide international transport certificates to exotics in addition to dogs and cats).

Hospital Supervisor
Aliya is the hospital supervisor at our veterinary hospital and an aspiring veterinarian with two Bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Human Development. Passionate about wildlife and ocean conservation, Aliya combines her academic knowledge with hands-on experience to support our team. As she prepares for veterinary school, she aims to blend her love for animals with her commitment to preserving the natural world.
Gianna
Lead Veterinary Assistant
Gianna is our Lead Veterinary Assistant, bringing over 8 years of experience in both general practice and emergency medicine to our team. Her extensive background ensures top-notch care for all our patients, and her skillful approach to veterinary support makes her an invaluable asset.
Outside of work, Gianna cherishes time with her family and enjoys the company of her beloved Shih Tzu dogs. Her passion for animals and dedication to her role shines through in every aspect of her work.
Yazmin
Lead Veterinary Assistant
Yazmin, our Lead Veterinary Assistant, has been with us for over a year, bringing her expertise and enthusiasm to the team. She graduated from UC Davis with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and has a keen interest in radiography. Outside of work, Yazmin enjoys spending quality time with her animals and family. Her commitment to animal care and enthusiasm for her field make her a vital member of our team.

Verenice is a new Veterinary Assistant at our hospital, eager to learn and grow in the field. A recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Verenice brings enthusiasm and a joyful spirit to the team. Known for her frequent laughter and positive attitude, she is excited to expand her skills and contribute to exceptional animal care.

Veterinary Assistant
Chloe has been a dedicated Veterinary Assistant with us for a year. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Neuroscience from USD, which enhances her understanding of animal behavior. Chloe aspires to attend veterinary school in the future and is committed to her growth in the field. At home, she shares her life with her beloved cat, Denny.
